For your joints to work efficiently, they need to be aligned correctly. With all the modern technology such as laptops, tablets and smartphones, it is very easy for us to hunch over.When this happens, our thoracic spine becomes more and more flexed and our shoulders roll forward.
The back-extension exercise is tailor made for combating this problem. Get your chest opened up and your spine back to neutral with this exercise. Remember to engage your abs throughout this exercise to make sure you are extending through your thoracic spine and not your lumbar spine.
There is no real need to do hundreds of back extensions. Just follow along with the video once today to pass the challenge, and remember it next time you have neck ache or achy shoulders.
