Ice Skating Coach and Choreographer
Private Performance and/or Choreography Lessons
I am an ice skating coach at the Kroc Center Ice Arena in San Diego, California. I work with beginners through elite ice skaters of all ages, ranging from approximately 2-80. I teach freestyle, choreography, moves in the field, ice dance, and pairs. Basic skating skills (stroking, crossovers, edging, speed, etc.), technical elements (jumps, spins, etc.), tricks, and more can be taught in private lessons. I work with recreational skaters, competitive skaters of all levels, and show skaters. Private ice skating lessons are essential to anyone wanting to greatly improve their ice skating skills.
I also teach private performance lessons. Having private performance lessons regularly can dramatically improve a skater’s performance abilities over time. Private performance lessons are focused specifically on the directions of the skater’s primary coach and/or areas the skater wants or needs emphasized. For example, the skater’s program or programs will be polished by working on arm movements, heads, facial expressions, extensions and finishing lines, all of which are essential components of a skater’s performance in competition and/or shows.
Choreography lessons are taught on a one-to-one basis to choreograph a skater’s program or make additions and polish a program already completed. Please contact me if you’re interested in private lessons or would like more information. Private lessons are given in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute increments.
