Simply juice the ingredients in this order for the best results. Chill then serve.
1 bunch organic kale
2 organic cucumbers
4 organic granny smith apples
2 organic limes
Kale contains very high levels of many nutrients including calcium, beta-carotene, vitamin k and vitamin c. Kale contains several potent cancer-fighting substances including sulforaphane and indole-3-carbinol. Kale also contains bile acid sequestrants which helps to lower cholesterol and decrease absorption of dietary fats.
Cucumbers are not just full of water to keep you hydrated, but also contain good amounts of vitamin k, b vitamins essential for energy production and fiber to aid digestion and help you feel fuller for longer. They also contain lignans, thought to help in protection against various cancers. Cucurbitacins are also present. They can help to prevent cancer growth.
Apples contain a lower amount of nutrients per gram than many other fruits. They do, however, contain a good amount of dietary fiber and vitamin c. Apples are more nutritious eaten rather than juiced, but they do add a great taste.
